Anyone have a drywall guy?

Someone who's going to do things right, but not cost me thousands of dollars. I have a few areas in my house that have been repaired (poorly) by the previous owner or by shoddy contractors who have done work over the years. I'd like to get these spots skim coated and primed by someone reputable before we repaint the house. (We're capable of doing the painting ourselves, but the drywall is beyond my skillset. To those who are going to recommend "just DIY it". Not an option. Yes, I've watched countless YouTube videos. I'm capable of many things, but drywall isn't one of them. Every time I attempt, it looks like shit)
